Barbara Nick is President of Minnesota Energy Resources and Michigan Gas Utilities.
Barb was previously Sr. Vice President of Energy Delivery and Customer Service for Wisconsin Public Service Corporation and President of Upper Peninsula Power Company. She has more than 30 years of experience in numerous leadership roles in Corporate Services, Division Accounting, Customer Service, Gas and Electric Operations and Wholesale Energy Services.
Barb holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication/Business from the University of Wisconsin - Green Bay and is certified to teach English as a Second Language. She is also a graduate of the Harvard Business School's Advanced Management Program.
She currently serves on the Board of the Boys and Girls Club, Libertas and Downtown Green Bay, Inc. She was named the 2008 Athena Award recipient for the Green Bay area.
Barb also serves on the Boards of Energy Center of Wisconsin, Wisconsin Public Utilities Institute and Wisconsin Valley Improvement Company. She participated in the Governor's Task Force on Global Warming as part of the sub group addressing Energy Efficiency.
She is on the Executive Committee for the EPRI Power Delivery and Energy Utilization Sector Council and is the company representative for the EEI Strategic Issues Group and the EEI Smart Grid Scenario Planning Team.
