Barbara Nick
President
Minnesota Energy Resources
Barbara Nick is president of Minnesota Energy Resources, as well as president of our sister company, Michigan Gas Utilities. She was appointed to this position in 2012.
Prior to leading Minnesota Energy Resources, Barbara was president of Upper Peninsula Power Company and vice president of Energy Delivery and Customer Service at Wisconsin Public Service, both subsidiaries of our parent company, Integrys Energy Group. She was previously vice president of Corporate Services and served in a number of operations and staff roles during her 30-year career with Integrys.
Barbara holds a bachelor of arts degree in communication/business from the University of Wisconsin – Green Bay and is certified to teach English as a Second Language. She is also a graduate of the Harvard Business School's Advanced Management Program.
She has served on the boards of the Boys and Girls Club, Libertas and Downtown Green Bay, Inc. She was named the 2008 Athena Award recipient for the Green Bay area.
Barbara has served on the boards of Energy Center of Wisconsin, the Wisconsin Public Utility Institute, and Wisconsin Valley Improvement Company. She also participated on the Wisconsin Governor's Task Force on Global Warming as part of the subgroup addressing energy efficiency.
At the national level, Barbara is on the executive committee for the EPRI Power Delivery and Energy Utilization Sector Council and is a company representative on the Edison Electric Institute (EEI) Strategic Issues Group and the EEI Smart Grid Scenario Planning Team.
