Duct sealing rebates

Limited-time bonus rebates available for qualifying duct sealing installed Aug. 1 – Nov. 30, 2025.

Leaky ducts can reduce heating and cooling system efficiency by as much as 20 percent. Duct sealing and insulating increases efficiency, lowers your energy bills, and can pay for itself in energy savings while increasing the safety of your home.

Your home could be losing 25 to 40% of heating and cooling energy through gaps and holes in your existing furnace air ducts. This energy waste can be reduced with the use of aerosol duct sealing. This method of sealing ducts can reduce leaks by 70 to 90%.

*Bonus rebate details and qualifications:

  • No special rebate application form necessary. Bonus will be reflected in final rebate check.
  • Bonus rebates for qualifying duct sealing installations occurring Aug. 1 - Nov. 30, 2025. Rebate forms must be postmarked by Dec. 8, 2025.
  • Bonus rebates will be added to both standard and affordable rebate offerings.
  • Existing homes and affordable housing only. Does not apply to new construction.
  • Bonus offers cannot be combined.
  • Rebate cannot be more than amount paid.
  • All other terms and conditions apply.
  • This offer is for Minnesota Energy Resources residential customers only.

Program requirements

Mastic tape sealing does not qualify. Work must be installed and measured by a licensed HVAC contractor. Only furnaces with ductwork qualify. Homes built in the past two years are not eligible.

How it works

  • Have a licensed dealer perform aerosol duct sealing in your home.
  • Submit duct sealing application along with copy of a dated invoice and Aeroseal Certification showing test results.
  • Receive your rebate check within six weeks of a completed application request.

Important rebate information

  • Check all rebate requirements on the application prior to service to ensure eligibility. We must receive the application within 60 days of service.
  • Rebate amount cannot exceed the cost of improvement or service.
  • Customers cannot receive more than one rebate per improvement or service.
  • Rebate offers cannot be combined.
  • Funding is limited and can change or end at any time. Applications are processed on a first-come, first-served basis.
